page 4 Thoughts on the Concept of “Forgiveness” and the Power of Your Subconscious Mind Self to find the power to forgive. Your unconscious mind is alerted to the conscious awareness of your personal power in establishing and using the techniques of miracle-working healing with the use of concerted control over personal thoughts and subsequent behaviors. Love is the nature of the spiritual energy that guides your life and quite literally accounts for the inner balance that maintains physical health and emotional well-being. Forgiving others allows you to release the energy of love into your daily living. The love you currently need, to help you meet challenges and to maintain your own inner “light”, may still be tied to old, unresolved hurts. Any apathy you are experiencing, any confusion, lack of direction, exhaustion, or sense of being overwhelmed, may well stem from captive energy held in the small corners of your heart. Love is the emotional and spiritual energy that ties you to others. In addition, the energy ties them to you. It is interrupted on both sides whenever you hold on to the negative aspect of unforgiveness, justifying your ‘right’ to harbor any degree of ill-will or hatred toward those who have hurt you. The issues that seem to defy forgiveness are always aligned in some way with love: the love you never received, the love that you offered and others rejected or betrayed, the love that was used to manipulate you to act out in ways that were detrimental to your own best interests and/or to the best interest of some other. Remembering the source of your sadness or fear creates an anger that screams for revenge, justice, consequence or some outcome that will satisfy your sense of ‘justice’ having been served. Well, we know that justice does not always prevail, and fairness is an expectation seldom manifested. Yet, you may cling to the notion that some day it will, if you just hang in there, holding on for justice owed. This can be especially attractive when you assume yourself victimized, or the injured party.
