**Tips on how to develop a no-lose plan in establishing, achieving and sustaining goals**

Are you one of those people who make New Year’s resolutions and forget them by March because you don’t achieve instant success? Could you be one who daydreams often, but at the end of the fantasy decides that particular life is unobtainable? Maybe you really believe that if it weren’t for bad luck you would have no luck at all. You may be thinking, "That’s me, all of the above."

What if you found out that all your dreams were possible by merely taking three new steps!

That’s right, only three steps separate you from living your dreams.

  1. Decide what you want to accomplish.
  • Choose a goal that will positively impact your life and create abundance.
  • Do not ignore your personal desires for something that is practical or suggested by others.
  • Be outrageous in what you want for yourself. Do not be afraid to create the life you envision in your dreams.
  • Dedicate yourself to achieving this goal.
  • Understand that you alone are responsible for making this goal a reality. Do not expect other people to do the work.
  • Commit to the work and persistence required to make your goal a reality.
  1. Develop a plan to achieve your goal.
  • Break your large goal down into small, manageable steps.
  • Prioritize these smaller steps. In what order will you have to accomplish these "mini" goals to achieve the larger success?
  • Create a goal board. Write all of your goals down. Use pictures to illustrate what you want to accomplish.
  • Place your goal list where you can see it often (bathroom, refrigerator, the visor in your car, on your computer at work.
  1. Work on your goals daily.
  • Each day include an item from your goal list on your "things to do" sheet.
  • Create a reward system. Reward every step you take toward achieving your goals.
  • Create a chart to monitor your progress.
  • Use role models to inspire and motivate you.
  • Create a support system with family, friends, special interest groups, etc.
  • Recognize that any "failure" is just a lesson to be learned. Use a reward or an inspirational pick-me-up to keep going after suffering a setback.

There is nothing preventing you from having everything you want out of life – except you.

**This is a proven fact**

When you have a vision without a concrete plan, that vision is merely a dream.

When you add a plan to that vision, your dream becomes a goal that you can accomplish.

The truth here is simple –

When you ignore your dream by not turning it into a

step-by-step goal,

you miss out on your reason for living.

**Your dreams are your life’s purpose**

There is absolutely no way you can realize your goal unless you break it down into the necessary steps. Achieving a goal is like building a house. There is a specific order in which you must work. You cannot put the front door on a house before you pour the foundation.

Our purpose in life is to satisfy the desires in our heart.

--This is our reason for living--

--Your spirit inspires every vision you embrace--

By creating goals to achieve the desires in our heart, we are following the path to incredible success and rewards.

The good news is that if you can create the vision (or dream) you can develop the reality. You can achieve whatever it is you desire.

You have probably been hearing pesky excuses in your mind since we first mentioned that you can achieve everything you desire in your heart.

  • My current situation is too overwhelming.
  • I have too many responsibilities.
  • Achieving my dreams is very unrealistic.
  • My dreams are too outrageous.
  • I do not have enough time, money, support, ambition, luck, skill…
  • My _______(family, job, social life….) takes up too much of my time and energy.
  • I would have to start my life all over again.
  • I may not be very happy, but at least I am comfortable.
  • I hate taking risks.
  • I am too _____ (old, poor, rich, uneducated, lonely, scared….).
  • I have no idea where to begin. (Good thing you are reading these tips!)

This is your life.

You have the ability to re-structure it and create a dynamic, fun-filled existence. It is your responsibility to decide what you want and create a plan to go for it.

You cannot decide to ignore your own desires and then blame someone or something else because you are not happy with the way you life has turned out.

**Now is the time to recognize that change is required if you want to live differently**

--You literally owe it to your Self--

Each of us has the ability to live a successful life. We expect this of ourselves. Our free will allows us to choose a wholesome, rich existence no matter what the circumstances are surrounding us. Unfortunately, these life circumstances often make us veer away from our true Self. Our heart’s desires are lost. It is vital that we get back on track. We need to recreate those dreams of our youth. They hold the secret to our life’s purpose.

Do not be afraid about setting yourself up for disappointment or loss. Establishing and achieving goals is your life force. As you pursue your goals, they will become your reason for living. In the steps you take to achieve them, you will…

  • Develop new skills
  • See yourself and others in a more positive way
  • Learn things about yourself you never knew
  • Experience life enhancing change, especially in the way you think
  • Expand your maturity, self-esteem, self-confidence and self-awareness
  • Discover good reasons for being alive

Your goals are not about the desires of others. They are a unique reflection of your personality, character and Spirit. They speak to you, about you.

When you decide on a goal yourself, it is personal and unique to you. You would never dream of something you did not want or could not some day achieve. That is one of the reasons you can be certain your goals are attainable.

When you are committed to achieving your goals, you identify yourself as a positive person who claims a successful outcome for your own life.

Your entire attitude changes when you set out the life mission of achieving your dreams and desires.

  • There are no failures
  • Challenge excites you
  • Rewards are plentiful
  • Learning is exciting
  • Life is an amazing journey
  • Your focus keep you on course
  • You live your life with love for Self and others
  • Happiness becomes a way of life
  • Successes feed your determination and self worth

Goals keep you connected to your reason for living.

**Use the following information to create a goal achievement plan**

Begin by evaluating your life. Ask yourself the following questions:

  • Is where I am now, where I want to be in five years?
  • Am I as happy as I want to be?
  • Do I love the way I am presently living my life?
  • Is the life I am living now what I was born to live? Am I living my destiny?
  • Are my childhood dreams a reality in my present life?
  • If I were to die today, would I be satisfied with the way I am living my life right now?

Decide you want more from your life then what you presently have.

  • Consider you dreams as indicators of where to go in your life
  • Make a concious decision to move forward and make your dreams a reality
  • Choose goals that will improve the quality of your life
  • Get clear about exactly what it is you desire
  • Decide to raise your standards
  • Acknowledge that your life has definite purpose

Create a list of your goals to bring yourself out of the dream stage into the reality of creating success.

  • Make a list of all the goals you want to accomplish
  • Prioritize these goals beginning with the one you would like to accomplish first
  • Create a simple outline of each goal – what you need to do to achieve it
  • Create a time frame for each goal
  • Break the goal down into the smallest steps possible and prioritize them, choosing the easiest steps to work on first
  • Create a time frame for each step
  • Reward yourself after accomplishing each step
  • Keep a list of your goals where you will see it several times a day
  • Create a goal board – include pictures and key words, i.e. happiness, love, self-respect, wealth, self-esteem, freedom
  • List the resources you have at your disposal: contacts, education, supplies, knowledge, experience, availability, a support person in your life…
  • Strive for excellence

Build a value system designed to enhance your real Self. Refuse to cooperate with anyone who criticizes you or undermines your commitment to succeed.

To live an incredible life you must be willing to change you mind and behaviors, daily if necessary. Strive to create the love, joy, peace and financial success you desire on a continuous basis.

Refuse to let another day go by without taking that first step to establish and achieve your goals.
